Group Course Structure

Our group courses are offered quarterly, ensuring a structured progression in your German learning journey. Each fall, we launch a new Beginner Level 1 course for students with no prior German knowledge, with continuation courses offered in subsequent quarters to steadily build your skills.

If you're unsure where to begin, feel free to schedule a free consultation meeting

To help you visualize your journey, we've included an overview of how our group courses build over four years, from A1 to A2.

"Having no German language education before, I wasn't sure what to expect. Overall I was happy with the course. I never found it to be overwhelming, or too difficult. Frieda does a really nice job of presenting the information at a pace that my middle aged brain could keep up with. Working with the course book, Frieda presents the information in a way that makes learning a new language possible. Also, I found that being in a group setting with weekly meetings helped me stay accountable in keeping up with the new information versus trying to learn it on my own."

– Darryl, Beginner Level 1 Student, 2025

Teaching Style

Classes are conducted mostly in German from day one. Yes, that feels uncomfortable at first. That's the point. Real progress happens when you're actively speaking, making mistakes, and getting feedback in the moment, not just studying rules at home.

Students who get the most out of these courses come prepared, do their homework, and show up ready to participate. In return, you get a structured, supportive environment where your German actually moves forward. Not just week to week, but quarter to quarter.
